AUSTIN (KXAN) — The suspect in a shooting involving at least one Austin police officer was taken into custody just after midnight Monday morning, according to APD.

Sunday night, multiple sources told KXAN an Austin police officer was shot in a southeast Austin neighborhood and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police and medics rushed to 10028 Channel Island Drive to investigate a report of gunshots around 9:15 p.m. That’s in an area east of Interstate 35 and west of Onion Creek.
